BERLIN ART FILM FESTIVAL: KICK-OFF/ WARM UP!

warm-up

Hurray! We’re kicking off the first-time ever edition of the BERLIN ART FILM FESTIVAL (4.- 7.12.2014 at fsk am Oranienplatz) with a sweet and cozy warm-up party at Südblock to mingle, dance, flirt and get excited. After the fsk screenings of Cynthia Beatt’s BÖSE ZU SEIN IST AUCH EIN BEWEIS VON GEFÜHL/ FURY IS A FEELING TOO and Karim Aïnouz‚ PRAIA DO FUTURO (both with English subtitles), two fabulously fun DJs will be waiting for us. Be prepared for Cesar, the Amazonian Waitress (music that will make you jumpier than a virgin at a prison rodeo plus some birthday tunes) and the wonderfully crowd-warming and generally unique lisalotta.p (hip-pop-hop).

BERLIN ART FILM FESTIVAL: PARTY!

06-12-14

Bang, Bang! We are celebrating brave, sexy, daring, queer, experimental and fearless Berlin art films with a party that will bring the art house down. Hot Israeli choreographer Tomer Zirkilevich made his piece „What have I got?!“ (with Leo Gold) especially for the festival, no other than legendary Princessin Hans honours us with a special gig and a bunch of visual artists have some surprise wall screenings for us in store.

Amazing film poet Cynthia Beatt was kind enough to let us screen her black and white masterpiece THE PARTY – NATURE MORTE (D 1991, 89 min) in a loop projection. In the lead: a very young and very wonderful Tilda Swinton!

Plus plus plus: We have a DJ line-up that will make you feel ashamed to ever sit down: Lavender Wolf warms it all up, then so-hot-she-needs-a-license Debbie Upper takes over, followed by (fuck yes!) Snax himself – and impossible-not-to-fall-in love-with Jozak Sander (Ke//er – Elektrotribe).

We are a non-profit, non-funded film art festival that needs your support! So bring your bouncy curator’s ass over here and dance like nobody’s watching!

BERLIN ART FILM FESTIVAL: WRAP PARTY!

It’s a wrap, everyone! No need to be sad though – we’ll remember the dancing and drinking and freaking out from such great films as Max Linz‘ ASTA UPSET, Tatjana Turanskyj’s THE DRIFTER and Lior Shamriz‚ SATURN RETURNS and re-enact it to the tunes of fabulous Lcavaliero Mann and Steev Lemercier who will guide us through the night. We’ll meet for some last festival drinks, fall in love with talented directors, tell each other our favourite film scenes, exchange glances, phone numbers and count the days until the next BERLIN FILM ART FESTIVAL kicks off in 2015.
